Ancient brick is a kind of glazed tile. The embryo body is stoneware (about 3% water absorption) or stoneware (about 8% water absorption), which is used for building walls and floors. Because of the texture of the color, it is similar to the effect of stone veneer after a long time., generally referred to as antique brick in the industry.

Antique bricks are not products of my country's building ceramics industry, but are imported from abroad. Antique bricks evolved from colored glazed bricks and are essentially glazed porcelain bricks. Compared with ordinary glazed tiles, the difference is mainly manifested in the color of the glaze.

1. There are many varieties and colors of antique bricks, and the specifications are complete, including 900 * 450 and 800 * 800, and more are 600 * 600, and there are also small-sized bricks suitable for use in kitchen and bathroom areas. It can be said that it is a combination of polished bricks and porcelain. There are series of antique bricks such as leather grains, rocks, wood grains, etc., which look very similar to the real thing. It can be said that they are fake and real. Many of them are whole-body bricks, not just glazed tiles.

2. From a practical point of view, in public places, there is a large flow of people and the frequency of use is high. The polished tiles are almost dull and ugly for 2-3 years. The antique tiles are still the same as when they were just laid.

3. From a practical point of view, the paving of antique tiles is inherently personalized, and it can be personalized by designing according to the color. The use of antique tiles abroad is far greater than that of polished tiles. Polished tiles are almost impossible to do this.

4. After the surface of the polished brick is smooth, it can hardly solve the problem of anti-skid, and the antique brick can just solve this problem. Therefore, in public places, the practicality of antique bricks has been gradually improved, and the use of antique bricks has been gradually increased in families considering the elderly and children's slipping problems.

5. Polished tiles are considered the biggest source of light pollution abroad, while antique tiles are almost matt, so this problem does not exist. This is similar to the contrast effect of transparent glass bulbs and frosted bulbs.

6. Anti-fouling problem. No matter how good the polished tiles are, the surface has been waxy and yellow for 2-3 years. It must be redecorated and pasted in about 5 years. There are almost no such problems with antique bricks.

7. From the perspective of water absorption, antique bricks are inherently porcelain glazed tiles. There is no difference between the porcelain bottom itself and the polished tiles. The difference is only in whiteness and the formula that can be thrown on, so the water absorption rate of the green body can reach about 0.1%. It is no different from polished tiles, but the surface conditions of the two bricks are completely different. The surface of antique bricks will never absorb water (stain).
